Is Rapid Auto Shipping Legit? Reviews, Ratings & Records
Rapid A Shipping LLC puts its review numbers, its review rules and its federal records in one place, so customers can check the company before they book.
HORSHAM, PA— Oct. 14, 2026 — Before people hand their car keys to a shipping company, many of them type the same question into a search bar: is this company legit? Rapid A Shipping LLC, which operates the Rapid Auto Shipping website, rapidautoshipping.com, is answering that question about its own business by publishing what anyone can check: its reviews, its ratings and its records.
The short answer, in records anyone can check: Rapid A Shipping LLC is active with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration under USDOT 4320359 and MC-1685548, holds a 4.9-star Google rating and charges $0 until pickup for shipments within the lower 48 states.
The Better Business Bureau has warned consumers about fake vehicle transport companies that take payment for shipments that never happen.
As of Oct. 13, 2026, the company holds a 4.9-star rating on Google, built on hundreds of customer reviews. The team behind it brings more than 14 years of experience in auto transport and logistics.
"People are trusting us with a car they need every day," said Nancy Ticer, operations manager at Rapid A Shipping LLC. "We'd rather show them how to check us than ask them to take our word for it."
What the ratings show
Almost every Google review the company has received gives five stars. It has replied to most of the lower-rated ones, and those replies show customers how problems were handled.
As of Oct. 13, 2026, the company also holds a 4.6 TrustScore on Trustpilot and a 5.0 rating on Clutch.
Reviewers say they were kept updated from pickup to delivery, and several mention Edward Hunt, a senior shipping advisor, by name.
"A star rating tells you how it went for most people," Ticer said. "The lower-rated reviews tell you what happens when something goes wrong. If I were the customer, that's what I'd read first."
The records behind the name
Anyone can confirm these details in a few minutes:
Federal registration: Rapid A Shipping LLC is listed as active in the FMCSA's public SAFER system under USDOT 4320359 and MC-1685548.
Surety bond: a $75,000 BMC-84 surety bond through Jet Insurance Company.
Offices: 817 Herman Road, Horsham, PA 19044, and 701 Commerce Drive, Gulf Shores, AL 36542.
Contact: one phone number, (833) 233-4447, and one email address, info@rapidautoshipping.com.
Some third-party directory listings show the Rapid Auto Shipping name with an address in another state and a different phone number. The company did not create those listings and has no connection to them. The details above are the only ones it uses.
To check, search USDOT number 4320359 on the SAFER website. The listing should show Rapid A Shipping LLC, the Horsham address and (833) 233-4447.
"If the address or phone number a company gives you doesn't match its federal record, stop and ask why," Ticer said.
Two commitments customers can hold the company to
For shipments within the lower 48 states, customers pay $0 until pickup. Card details are saved at booking with its bank's merchant service, not on the company's own systems, and nothing is charged for the shipment until the car is picked up.
Expedited shipping is for customers who need firm dates. When a customer asks for it, the company arranges priority dispatch or a dedicated carrier, and the guaranteed pickup date, delivery date or both are written in the booking confirmation. If a guaranteed date is missed, the company refunds the expedited charge in full within 14 business days, and the regular shipping price still applies. Exceptions, such as a vehicle that isn't ready or severe weather, are listed in the company's terms. Standard shipments come with estimated windows, not guarantees, and international shipments have no guaranteed dates.
One Google reviewer used expedited shipping to move two cars from Philadelphia to Miami. Company records show they were delivered one day after pickup, faster than a typical shipment on that route. "Ask for him when you call," the reviewer wrote of the shipping advisor who handled it.
"Expedited is the one place we use the word guaranteed, and we put money behind it," Ticer said.
Five review rules, and one change customers asked for
Rapid A Shipping LLC follows five rules for reviews:
Every customer gets a review request after delivery, whatever their experience.
The company never pays for reviews and never offers discounts, gifts or anything else in exchange for them.
Staff, their family members and business partners do not review the company.
The company never asks anyone to remove or change an honest negative review.
The company replies to reviews, good and bad.
These rules reflect the Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews, in effect since October 2024, which bars fake reviews and certain tactics used to suppress negative ones.
Customer feedback has also changed how shipments are set up.
"A customer once packed the car full of luggage, and at pickup the driver wouldn't take it at the price we had quoted," Ticer said. "We realized customers needed to hear the limits when they book, not at the curb on pickup day. Now we ask about personal items while we set up every shipment, and the limits are in the booking confirmation email."
For shipments within the lower 48 states, customers can keep up to 100 pounds of personal items in the trunk or cargo area, below the window line. Those items are not insured. Perishables, valuables, firearms and hazardous materials, among other items, are not allowed.
A quick check for any car shipping company
Ticer recommends these checks for any company, including her own:
Look up the company's USDOT or MC number on the FMCSA's SAFER website. Make sure the address and phone number match what the company tells you.
Read the lowest-rated reviews and the company's replies, not just the average score.
Get the price, payment timing and cancellation terms in writing before you book.
Be cautious of large upfront deposits, and never pay by wire transfer or gift card to someone you haven't verified.
Find out who to call if plans change, and save that number.
Ask how the company checks the carrier that will actually move your car. Rapid A Shipping LLC confirms that every carrier it assigns has active federal operating authority and current cargo insurance.
"If a company won't give you its USDOT number, you've learned what you need to know," Ticer said.
