Rogue Spine Center Shares Chiropractic Case Study of Portland Chef
Restaurant owner reports less pain and fewer symptoms following a 10-week personalized care plan.
Portland, OR, United States – November 02, 2026 – Rogue Chiropractors and Spine Center has released a case study involving a Portland restaurant owner and chef in his mid-30s who underwent 10 weeks of chiropractic care with Dr. Diane Tran. According to the case study, the patient reported improvement in long-standing pain following treatment.

For more than a decade, the patient experienced chronic neck pain, back pain, daily headaches, hand numbness and tingling, and arthritis-related aches. He reported frequently waking with pain and said the symptoms interfered with daily activities, particularly during long shifts in a busy kitchen.
Before beginning treatment at Rogue Chiropractors and Spine Center, the patient had sought relief through traditional chiropractic care, physical therapy, foam rolling, acupuncture, and sauna sessions. He also reported replacing his pillows and mattress to reduce symptoms. According to the case study, some of these measures provided short-term relief, but the effects usually lasted only a few days.
According to Rogue Spine Center, Dr. Tran developed a treatment plan based on the patient’s stated goals of achieving longer-lasting relief and improved comfort during the workday. The plan involved two or three visits per week over 10 weeks, with each appointment lasting about 35 minutes. The course of care included chiropractic adjustments, spinal traction, targeted exercises to strengthen postural support, and a home care routine with prescribed exercise and supportive orthotics.
“Many patients have already tried several approaches before they come to us,” said Dr. Diane Tran, chiropractor at Rogue Spine Center. “Our goal is to understand what’s causing their symptoms and build a plan they can take an active role in, both in our office and at home.”
At the end of the 10-week care period, the patient reported a 100% improvement in back pain, a 95% improvement in hand tingling and numbness, and a 90% improvement in arthritis-related aches and pains. He also reported changes in daily functioning, including waking without pain, greater comfort during physically demanding restaurant shifts, and more consistent energy throughout the day.
Follow-up X-rays showed that the patient’s cervical curve more closely aligned with the clinic’s reference line than before treatment. Rogue Spine Center noted that changes in spinal alignment and symptom improvement are separate findings. The reported percentages reflect one patient’s self-reported results and should not be interpreted as treatment success rates. Individual outcomes and recovery times may vary.
