Cirkla, Belmark and Ossid Announce Resealable Fiber Tray Packaging Collaboration
GAINESVILLE, Georgia — November 5, 2026 — Cirkla, Belmark inc and Ossid announced a collaboration combining fiber trays, peel-and-reseal lidding film and automated tray-sealing equipment for food packaging applications, including fresh protein, produce and ready meals.
The collaboration pairs Cirkla’s fiber trays with Belmark’s lidding film and Ossid’s sealing technology. The partners are focusing on a package that consumers can open and reclose while preserving the tray liner during peeling.
Cirkla supplies the trays, Belmark provides the lidding film, and Ossid supplies the automated sealing equipment.
“Bringing resealable functionality to a fiber tray required expertise across materials, film, and equipment, and each partner played an important role,” said Jason Vandeloo, Director of Business Development, Belmark.
Sealing Equipment
Ossid’s contribution includes the ReeMaster NextGen Automatic Tray Sealer, which uses servo-driven indexing conveyors and side grippers to position trays. A touchscreen provides recipe management and changeover controls.
The equipment supports top-seal, Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and Vacuum Skin Packaging (VSP) formats. Those equipment capabilities do not establish the performance of a particular tray-and-film combination.
Ossid is the North American distributor of Reepack and a ProMach product brand.
Manufacturing Plans
Cirkla’s first U.S. manufacturing facility is scheduled to begin operations in Gainesville, Georgia, in the first quarter of 2027. The planned facility is part of the company’s manufacturing development for molded fiber packaging.
